CREATIVE COMMUNITIES

Supporting spaces for creative conversations and collaborations

SGFA funds Film Heritage Foundation, which is a non-profit organisation set up by Shivendra Singh Dungarpur in 2014. It is dedicated to supporting the conservation, preservation, and restoration of the moving image and to developing interdisciplinary programs to create awareness about the language of world cinema

Support for Dharamshala International Film Festival - founded in 2012 by filmmakers Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam, the festival is held annually in McLeod Ganj, a town without a single commercial cinema. The festival focuses on showcasing bold, independent cinema, documentary films, and nurturing local talent. It transforms an unlikely setting into a vibrant meeting ground for filmmakers and cinephiles. With its adventurous programming and intimate atmosphere, DIFF has grown into one of India’s most distinctive independent film festivals hosted at the Tibetan Children’s Village.

MYSL Summer Series

SGFA is going to collaborate with Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech to celebrate and showcase the range of Indian cinema for their Indian Film Series 2026 - wherein 14 carefully curated Indian films will be screened over three months for free public viewing. This entirely philanthropic cultural event is dedicated to purely celebrating the art of cinema.
